Gli abiti che abbiamo sono quasi tutti delle nostre nonne e alcuni li abbiamo ricostruiti, anche i cappelli. I cappelli sono fatti con la paglia di Firenze, che è più resistente e maneggevole, e devono avere una specie di onda morbida. Poi sopra li decoriamo con ciniglia e fiori secchi. Solo noi abbiamo un cappello così bello, il nostro costume piace perché è molto allegro, sa di primavera, è molto colorato. – Luigia Bossi, 2018 – La gonna blu e bordata di rosso è unita ad un corpetto, anch’esso blu e aperto davanti, legato con nastro rosso incrociato sul petto, ornato da una passamaneria a quadretti. La camicia sotto il corpetto è bianca, con collo dal taglio dritto, orlato di pizzo o ricamato, e maniche lunghe. Il grembiule è rosso a righe. D’inverno si aggiunge una giacchetta corta in fantasia scozzese sulle tinte del rosso. Il cappello in paglia di Firenze e decorato con coloratissimi fiori completa il costume.
The clothes we have belonged almost all to our grandmothers and some of them were remade, including the hats. The hats are made with the straw of Florence, which is more resistant, and must have a sort of soft wave. Then we decorate them with chenille and dried flowers. We are the only ones to have such a beautiful hat, people like our dress because it is very cheerful, it smells like spring, it is very colourful. – Luigia Bossi, 2018 – The red-edged blue skirt is joined to a blue corsage, open in the front, tied with a red ribbon that is crossed on the chest, adorned with small-square trimmings. The blouse under the corsage is white, with a straight neck, lace-edged or embroidered, with long sleeves. The apron is red with stripes. In winter, a short jacket in Scottish red fantasy is added. The straw hat of Florence, decorated with colourful flowers, completes the dress.
