Una delle cappelle di più ampie dimensioni in paese, al termine della carrozzabile che da Miazzina porta a Pala, alla Colletta e oltre. Funge da punto di sosta per coloro che si spingono a sinistra verso l’Alpe d’Aureglio, alle spalle verso l’Alpe Cavallotti, a destra per raggiungere Cavallone, Marona, Zeda. Per questo al suo interno vi sono due panche di pietra grezza dove poter riposare. Prima dei recenti restauri, il suo interno era annerito dal fumo dei fuochi improvvisati accesi durante le giornate di maltempo dai viandanti che si fermavano. La cappella faceva parte delle “Croci Alte”, processione che un tempo si teneva la prima domenica di maggio e da Pala raggiungeva la Cola ‘d Finù, appunto, scendendo poi verso il paese passando dalla Bütina, raggiungendo Scupell per arrivare al lavatoio della Valegia.
It is one of the largest chapels in the village, at the end of the road that from Miazzina leads to Pala, Colletta and farther on. It acts as a stop for those who go left towards Alpe d’Aureglio, behind towards Alpe Cavallotti, and to the right to reach Cavallone, Marona, Zeda. For this reason, inside there are two benches of raw stone where they can rest. Before the recent restorations, the interior was blackened by the smoke of the improvised fires lit during the days of bad weather by the travellers who stopped there. The chapel was part of the “Croci Alte (High Crosses)”, a procession that in the past took place on the first Sunday of May and from Pala it reached the Cola ‘d Finù, going down towards the village passing from the Bütina, reaching Scupell to get to the Valeggia wash-tub.
