L'Asilo infantile di Colloro venne costruito nel 1932 grazie all'opera degli abitanti del paese e alle donazioni dei benefattori a cui l'edificio è stato dedicato. Agli inizi di ottobre del 1933 due suore salesiane cominciarono a farlo funzionare accogliendo e accudendo gratuitamente i bambini poveri della frazione. Successivamente la conduzione dell'asilo venne affidata ad insegnanti.
Per molti anni, grazie alla dedizione delle insegnanti Graziella e Fausta Borri e alla loro madre, l'Asilo è stato un luogo di incontro e di aggregazione per tutti i giovani di Colloro, sia per i più piccoli della Scuola Materna ed Elementare, ma anche per le ragazze più grandi, a cui veniva insegnato il ricamo ed il cucito, e coinvolgendo i giovani in diverse attività: recite, feste, etc. Nei primi anni '80 a causa della diminuzione delle nascite l'asilo di Colloro ha chiuso i battenti. Attualmente l'edificio viene utilizzato per incontri, feste e manifestazioni culturali.
The kindergarten of Colloro was built in 1932 thanks to the work of the inhabitants of the village and the donations of benefactors to whom the building was dedicated. In early October 1933, two Salesian sisters began to admit the poor children of the village free of charge. Later, the management of the kindergarten was entrusted to teachers.
For many years, thanks to the devotion of teachers Graziella and Fausta Borri and their mother, the kindergarten has been a place of meeting and aggregation for all the young people of Colloro, for the children of the kindergarten and the Elementary School, but also for adult girls, to whom embroidery and sewing were taught, involving young people in different activities: recitals, feasts, etc. At the beginning of the 1980s, due to the decrease in births, the kindergarten of Colloro was closed definitely. The building is currently used for meetings, festivals and cultural events.
