Dalla località “Al Piano” dove il rio Luisina si immette nel torrente San Giovanni, a cavallo del confine tra Aurano, Intragna e Esio, un tempo iniziava quella che era chiamata Valle dei Mulini. Qui erano attivi i mulini “dul Trabacule” e “dul Pinet”, dai nomi dei loro proprietari. Oggi il sentiero è difficoltoso e gli edifici dei mulini sono in parte crollati e invasi dalla vegetazione, ma le tracce dell’antica attività molitoria, che serviva i tre paesi attorno, sono ancora leggibili.
From the village “Al Piano” where the brook Luisina enters the river San Giovanni, on the boundary between Aurano, Intragna and Esio, you reach what once was called Valle dei Mulini (The Valley of the Mills). Here the mills “dul Trabacule” and “dul Pinet” were operating, named after their owners. Today the path is hard and the buildings of the mills have partly collapsed and have been invaded by vegetation, but the traces of the ancient milling activity, which served the three surrounding villages, are still visible.
