Ad uno dei prodotti tipici locali viene dedicata ogni autunno la Sagra del Fungo: tre giorni di festa con la carrellata gastronomica a base di specialità nostrane, la sfilata dei carri allestiti dai rioni Castello, Mulitt e Torre, esibizioni musicali, serate danzanti, esposizioni e mostre culturali e micologiche, con la presenza gruppi folkloristici, musicali e corali.
La realizzazione della Sagra del Fungo è possibile perché vede coinvolti molti volontari e tutte le associazioni del paese. E’ la più corposa dell’anno e, se nei primi anni si svolgeva nel campo sportivo ora, dopo più di trent’anni, si svolge nell’Area Feste sotto i castagneti secolari di fronte alla stazione Vigezzina che, in quest’occasione, trasporta i visitatori con treni-navetta in partenza da Domodossola.
Every autumn the Mushroom Festival is dedicated to one of the most typical products: three days of celebration with the gastronomic round up based on local specialities, the parade of wagons set up by the hamlets of Castello, Mulitt and Torre, musical performances, dance evenings, cultural and mycological exhibitions, with the presence of folkloristic, musical and choral groups.
The organisation of the Mushroom Festival is possible because it involves many volunteers and all the associations of the village. It is the most populated festival of the year; in the first years, it took place in the sports field, while today, after more than thirty years, it is held in the “Area Feste” under the secular chestnut trees in front of the Vigezzina station that, on this occasion, transports the visitors by shuttle trains departing from Domodossola.
