L’originaria sede del Municipio di Intragna (oggi situato presso le ex scuole elementari) era collocata nell’area centrale del paese, dove fino alla metà del secolo scorso erano concentrati la maggior parte dei luoghi legati alla vita comunitaria. Nella sua prossimità vi sono oggi la chiesa e l’ex asilo infantile; in passato vi erano anche l’osteria Duca, la bottega di generi alimentari e la macelleria.
A pochi passi di distanza, si trova il sagrato della chiesa su cui si affacciava l’ambulatorio medico, ed ancor oggi gli uffici postali e la casa parrocchiale. Il piano superiore dell’edificio che ospitava gli uffici comunali è stato demolito e attualmente rimane soltanto il porticato inferiore, dove un tempo era situata una grossa fontana.
The original site of the Town Hall of Intragna (today located in the former elementary schools) was in the central area of the village, where most of the places related to community life were concentrated until the middle of the last century. Today, in the neighbourhood, there are the church and the former kindergarten; in the past there were also the Osteria Duca (a tavern), the grocery store and the butcher shop.
A few steps away, you find the parvis of the church, in front of which there was the medical clinic, and still today you find the post offices and the parish house. The top floor of the building that housed the municipal offices was demolished and currently only the lower porch remains, where a large fountain was located.
