Il piccolo alpeggio di Onunchio, sotto il Pizzo Marona, territorialmente fa parte del comune di Aurano, ma fu inalpato essenzialmente dagli abitanti di Intragna, essendo più facilmente raggiungibile da quel versante.
Situato in posizione soleggiata, con una bella sorgente, qualche baita ancora i uso e qualche rudere notevole, tra cui l’abside di una cappella, si trova lungo il sentiero che dalla bocchetta del Pian Cavallone scende verso il fiume San Giovanni. Da Onunchio partono sentieri per vari alpeggi dismessi e per l’Alpe Piaggia.
The small mountain pasture of Onunchio, below Pizzo Marona, territorially belongs to the municipality of Aurano, but it was mainly frequented by the inhabitants of Intragna, since it was more easily reachable from that mountain side.
It is situated in a sunny position, with a beautiful water spring; some mountain huts are still in use and there are also some ruins, such as the apse of a chapel. It is located along the path that from the mouth of Pian Cavallone goes down towards the river San Giovanni. Some paths start from Onunchio to reach mountain pastures fallen into disuse and Alpe Piaggia.
