Although the patron saints of Aurano are San Matteo, to whom the parish church is dedicated and who is celebrated on September 21, and San Michele, in Scareno, celebrated on September 29, the festival that is most celebrated by the community is that of S. Antonio on the second Sunday of August of each year. The Saint is celebrated with the Holy Mass and with a short procession in the parish church and on the parvis, where the inhabitants carry long candles, decorated with sacred icons and liturgical symbols. The same candles are kept in the parish church and carried again every year during the procession. The festival ends with the auction of the offerings, that is, of various local products made available by the inhabitants.
